IMS Radio Network

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Radio Network (IMS Radio Network), is the official radio network for the Indianapolis 500, IZOD IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights events, the Brickyard 400 and the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. These events can be found on stations across the country including the Armed Forces Network on stations around the world.

The IMS Radio Network has more than 400 affiliates, and it also has further syndication on XM Satellite Radio Channel 144, Sirius NASCAR Radio channel 128.(Brickyard 400 ONLY), the American Forces Network, the LeSEA broadcasting network, and World Harvest Radio as well as on the Web through IndyCar.com.

Indianapolis 500: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has played host to the Indianapolis 500 annually on Memorial Day weekend since 1911 except for America’s involvement in world wars in 1917-18 and 1942-45. Some of the greatest names in auto racing history have won “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing,” including A.J. Foyt, Mario Andretti, Al Unser and Rick Mears.
The Indianapolis 500 is the world’s largest single-day spectator sporting event and the world’s most prestigious auto race.

IZOD IndyCar Series: The IZOD IndyCar Series has been a place where legends claim victories by ten-thousandths of a second. World-renowned athletes like Helio Castroneves, Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti and Dan Wheldon dare to pilot 650-horsepower race cars faster than 230mph while inches away from each other and the wall. Whether it's the sun-drenched streets of St. Petersburg, a high-banked blistering Texas oval, a rain-soaked road course in rural New York, a Midwestern superspeedway or the Indianapolis 500, the 2010 IZOD IndyCar Series season is the most diverse and exciting in all of motorsports.

Brickyard 400: IMS has played host to the Brickyard 400 stock car race every year since 1994. The Brickyard 400 emerged quickly as one of the marquee events in NASCAR. Some of NASCAR’s biggest names, including Dale Earnhardt, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart, have won this race.

The Brickyard 400 is broadcast on stations across the United States, and XM/Sirius Satellite Radio NASCAR 128.

Red Bull Indianapolis GP: MotoGP, the world’s most prestigious motorcycle racing series, first competed at IMS in 2008 in the Red Bull Indianapolis GP. Six-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi triumphed, adding his name to the list of elite winners at the Speedway. The event returns in 2010 with exciting action on the 2.621-mile, 16-turn IMS road course that incorporates part of the famous oval.
